PVC-u windows and doors are built to last. There are no worries about repainting in Spring.

You can stay warm and comfortable all through the Winter, safe in the knowledge that the excellent properties of your PVC-u windows and doors are holding their own against the elements.

PVC-u windows and doors are built to withstand the worst of winter weather.
They will keep the cold at bay and improve the warmth of your home. Special hermetically sealed glass units maximise heat retention, while keeping down your heating bills. PVC-u is no longer restricted to white only. A wide range of woodgrain and coloured finishes are available to complement your home. State of the art locking systems protect your home. In independent tests, PVC-u
windows  and doors proved to be the most resistant of materials against break-ins. We can give you advice on planning permission, security levels, glass quality and maintenance to ensure that the product you want is the product you get.

No one can deny the impact on the industry made by the advent of PVC-u.
First developed over 60 years ago, it offers a highly cost effective and long lasting alternative to traditional window frame materials.

Technological advances have ensured that the versatility and flexibility of PVC-u respond to the stringent design and performance criteria required by specifiers and architects - thermal and acoustic insulation, low maintenance, extensive glazing options a wide choice of colours and finishes- the benefits often outweighing those of wood or aluminum.

We have compiled this guide to facilitate the specification process of PVC-u. it gives step by step information on the whys and wherefore which govern the use of PVC-u, and provides a technical breakdown of its profile range.

Our window and door products are manufactured from high impact, acrylic modified PVC-u. They are multi chambered, designed to provide the highest levels of performance across a wide range of criteria.

Colour retention and match, across a wide range of profile, cills and ancillary products, is ensured by using strictly controlled virgin material for every product in the range.

Our profiles have been severe weather tested and show no change in colour, viewed from 1 metre, even after 20 years of outdoorweathering. They also benefit from a unique gloss finish for easy cleaning and to keep your frames looking great for years to come.

Gaskets weather seals and co-extruded beads are extruded from non migratory Thermo Plastic Elastomers.

Our CHAMFERED CASEMENT WINDOW SUITE INTERNALLY GLAZED offers the necessary design options for both new construction and refurbishment with a choice of profiles to suit the most demanding application.

Outer Frames are designed to give the option for rebate or parallel fixing whilst the chamfered profile gives the authentic appearance of traditional design.
The sash profile is also chamfered to again replicate the traditional aesthetics of a putty line complimenting the precise image of PVC-u.

The full depth Eurogroove will facilitate high security hardware such as espagnolette locking mechanisms and shootbolts, without damage to the glazing table or imparing free drainage areas.

Glazing is effected using either co-extruded or fir tree type gasketed beads with again the design choice of profiled shape.

TPE gaskets compliment the detail giving excellent weathering characteristics.   The glazing beads are fitted to the inside of the window giving even greater security and ease of unit replacement.

Transoms and mullions are fully welded.

Windows can be face concealed or drained via the cill with moisture directed away from the reinforcing chambers at all times.

Our CHAMFERED CASEMENT WINDOW SUITE INTERNALLY GLAZED is available in white finish, wood grain, golden oak or base colourapplied film with beads suited to match.

Trickle vents can be fitted to provide statutory air changes along with a choice of restrictor stays to give added security or ease of egress.
Reinforcing is required as follows:-

a) Outer frames where height or width exceeds 2000mm
b) Unsupported combination frames,  all members exceeding 1200mm
c) Vent frames where width exceed 1000mm
d) Transoms where length exceeds 1000mmNB.  These figures represent a windows not requiring a specific load.   Refer to wind loading tables relating to specific ground and weather conditions.

Sound Insulation
A sound reduction can be achieved of 30-35dB using a double glazed unit with a 12mm air space.

Thermal Insulation
An outer frame with sash using a standard double glazed unit will achieve 2.7 w/m2C.

Our TILT and TURN WINDOW SUITE is a range of products most relevant to projects requiring excellent weathering characteristics coupled with the needs of the occupier.

The tilt and turn window can accommodate the demands of low level fenestration in exposed areas to high rise  tower blocks with no detrimental effect on performance.

The full depth Eurogroove will facilitate high security hardware and the necessary ironmongery to operate the versatile sash movement.

The tilt mode offers secure ventilation while the turn mode allows complete access for cleaning.

The window will allow for the tilt mode only to operate creating safe and secure inside conditions.

Glazing is effected from the inside using either co-extruded beads or fir tree type gasketed beads.

Transoms can be welded or mechanically coupled depending on the application under consideration.

Windows can be faced concealed or drained via the cill with moisture directed away from the reinforcing chambers at all times.

Out TILT and TURN WINDOW SUITE is available in white finish, woodgrain, golden oak or base colour applied film with beads suited to match.

Trickle vents can be fitted to order provide statutory air changes.
Reinforcing is required as follows:
a) Outer frames when height or width exceeds 1400mm
b)Vents frames when height or width exceeds 800mm
c) Transoms where length exceeds 800mmNB.  These figures represent a window not requiring a specific load.   Refer to wind loading tables relating to specific ground and weather conditions.
